'little rz1 drum pack' is a small sample pack made with the casio rz1

the rz1 is a sampled drum machine that came out 1986. although the low resolution pcm samples were ubiquitous for the era, the low cost of the rz1 represented a great value for a musician that might not come from great means. there is something so special to me about removing the barriers to making music and giving access to the masses

each sample was recorded by taking the individual output of the rz1, running them flat thru my mackie 32.8 mixer, into ableton thru a scarlett 18i20. the loop were made by loading the samples into drum rack and programing the steps in a sequence
